The wedding

I've been sick for days, but with the help of my whole family - we pulled the wedding off.

The weather was great, the house was decorated, the out of town guests arrived safely, Grandma got ordained so she could perform the ceremony, the cakes were baked, the dress was perfect, the groom was sober and not hung over, the family and friends were mostly on time, the bride was beautiful, all in all - not bad for a wedding pulled together in 5 weeks.

I put captions on most of the pics. Here is a small selection from the over 400 pictures taken by DeVia and I. I'm hoping to get copies from everyone else.

Big congrats to the new couple! And to you, for gaining a daughter! What a wonderful family you have; you're very lucky to have each and every one of them; and they, you!

Am enjoying your site. Sounds like you've been really busy and under pressure with the wedding, but looks and sounds that it all came together very well! Congratulations!

Remember me? I'm Elli from your "Socks Knitalong" activity at TYF. With the health problems and a few other things, I haven't been much at TYF for a while, but I have been working on my projects at home. Maybe next year for the Fiber Conference that I was so looking forward to doing. I did manage to get a major sized poncho finished, something that's been around in process for some time. Whew! It's good to have it finished and given to it's new owner, my daughter.

Couldn't find an email address to respond to your comment -- Blogger is trying to drive me mad.

Won't be at SOAR this year, too much to deal with regarding cross-border shipping and all, however maybe next year. (Also registration closed two weeks ago for vendors).

Thank you for the supportive comments!
